The very first wine from Fortunati Vineyards, owned by Gary & Ellen Luchtel, comes this Rhone Valley varietal beauty. Though it is from a young vineyard, the care shows through in the quality of the wine.  The fruit was whole cluster pressed, racked and fermented cold in stainless steel to preserve its fruit character.  After the primary fermentation, a partial malolactic fermention was induced for rounder mouth feel.  It was kept entirely in stainless steel prior to being bottled in May of 2006

This wine says summer like nothing else.  True to its varietal, the aromas of peach, apricot, honey dew and white flowers leap out of the glass as soon as it is poured.  In the mouth it is ripe, viscous with flavors of peach, apricot, melon and white pepper. It finishes clean and dry.  Just a fun wine for immediate gratification.
