The Syrah from Page Nord Vineyard was harvested on 9/25/2002, cold soaked for 2 days before being fermented for 13 days with the maximum temperature of 88 degrees. The malolactic fermentation took place in the barrel. The wine was racked 4 times before being bottled in June of 2004. 

Reflective of the warm summer of 2002 and the severe crop thinning, this Syrah is intense and concentrated.  It displays complex aromas of cassis, blackberry, blueberry and spice.  It is rich, chewy and dense with cassis, blackcurrant and vanilla flavors, followed by ripe, well-integrated tannins that lead to a massive finish.  We believe patience will be well rewarded with this beast of a wine.
